Restaurant, deli, meat market, grocery shop, wine store, and bakery – Puerto Madero in West Kendall offers a tour of Argentina’s fine cuisine.
Argentina is well-known for its delicious parillas, an assortment of meats seasoned and grilled to perfection. So no trip to chic-and-modern Puerto Madero would be complete without a savory steak.
Parilla options include top sirloin, filet mignon, skirt steak, short rib, flank steak, t-bone, and ribeye. Prices run from $10.99 to $27.99, depending on the cut and size (8, 12, or 16 oz). They also grill sausages, chicken breast, Mahi Mahi, and Salmon.
For simple, juicy flavor try the flank steak with your choice of two sides – salad, French fries, sweet plantains, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. The tostones (fried green plantains) are huge, golden pieces of heaven.
The menu also features a large selection of hot and cold sandwiches ($5 to $13) stuffed with fine deli meats and cheeses freshly-prepared right in the restaurant’s deli, or try one of the Parilla specialties in a sandwich.
Perhaps most South Floridians don’t know about Puerto Madero yet, but Kendall residents seem fully aware. Customers are constantly flowing in and out, especially on the weekends. Many flock to the bakery, which displays dozens of cakes, pastries, pies, and other sugary delights.
The back room houses a small winery with about 40 different brands and more than 200 different types of wine. Prices start as low as $5.99.
Puerto Madero serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Outside seating is available as well.
