Forget the Kitchen and Head for Chicken Grill

Portions, taste and price help Chicken Grill blow the competition out of the water!

Sure you’ve had a chop-chop, wrap, and pita sandwich, but not like this. One taste of their creamy Curry Mustard sauce and it will make their rival’s old watery versions seem like a thing of the past. Their Cilantro Garlic and their sweet but hot Mexican Salsa is also exceptional.

“I put my own slight twist on the things I serve,” says Carlos Peneda, Chicken Grill’s owner. “I started as part of a franchise and then I wanted to change things up a bit.”

The boneless chicken breasts look much bigger than other places and you won’t catch them checking your portions in a small plastic measuring cup.

The usual wrap and pita fare is there, but all kicked up a notch with new versions of old favorites and numerous new offerings, such as churrasco. They also recently added chicken wings to the variety.

Chops range from $5.39 for a Green Chop to $16.69 for a Churrasco Plate. The many variations incorporate Caribbean, Hawaiian, Mediterranean, Teriyaki, and Aztec styles.

Add extra chicken to any chop for $3.49 (4oz), $4.99 (8oz), and $8.49 (160z). Substitute brown rice for only 49 cents more.

Wraps offer about the same choices, but you must try local favorites: Miami Wrap (with black beans and sweet plantains for $6.99) and the Fajita Wrap (with guacamole sour cream and jalapenos for $6.99). Fajitas also come in a platter ($9.59) and salad ($9.79). And the pitas are available from $6.39 to $8.39 for a combo.

A Family Pack, which consists of a whole chicken, 2 sides, 4 sauces and 2 pitas is $17.99.

The menu now includes Cheese Sticks with marinara house salsa ($5.99), the Churrasco Wrap ($9.39), and Chicken Wings ($5.99 for 6 and $9.99 for 12).

Sides include Balsamic Tomatoes ($2.49 sm. and $3.49 lg.) and Garlic Potatoes ($2.49 sm. and $3.49 lg.).

Remember to end your meal with an incredible dessert. You can’t go wrong with their Flan, in Caramel, Coconut, or Cheese starting at $2.79.
