Deli Lane Delights the Hungry Morning Crowd

Those brightly-colored umbrellas spread throughout Deli Lane’s open courtyard in Brickell are a promise of steamy eggs, sizzling bacon, fluffy pancakes, and so much more! There’s also a lively inside dining room, serving breakfast, lunch and early dinner.

This modern neighborhood joint is especially popular among professionals and young city dwellers for breakfast. But on the weekends, you see less business suits and a lot more flip-flops, as well as people bicycling, jogging and walking their pets.

One reason Deli Lane is unique is that it offers healthy versions of regular dishes. For instance, you can order Classic Eggs Benedict ($9.95), or Lo-Carb Benedict (10.95), set on grilled turkey breast instead of English muffin.

The scrumptious variety of omelets, sandwiches, wraps, melts, frittata, and even Breakfast Quesadilla, or Enchilada can be prepared with regular eggs, or egg whites. You can also pair your meal with a healthy side dish, such as tomato slices, granola, oatmeal, whole wheat toast, or fruit.

Veggie lovers will flip for the Garden Omelet ($8.95). You won’t find any little bits of drained vegetables here. This omelet comes filled with chunks of broccoli, cauliflower and other fresh veggies mixed with cheese. The cheese grits side dish is delicious. No need to add butter or salt because these babies are creamy and rich in cheddar cheese flavor.

If you want something mightier, try the Mighty Wrap ($8.95), which is still waistline-friendly. It’s a whole wheat wrap stuffed with scrambled egg whites, spinach, tomato, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese. It comes served with a sliced tomato, or fruit cup.

Deli Lane also caters to meat lovers with an appetite. Try the Steak & Egg Wrap ($10.95) made with sliced sirloin, scrambled eggs, tomato, onions, and cheddar cheese. Hope you have room left because it also brings a side of house potatoes.

Egg-static combinations (under $10) are more traditional and allow you to build your meal by choosing from eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, or turkey. Regardless of what you pick, it comes with house potatoes or cheese grits on the side.

Other options include Buttermilk Pancakes, Buckwheat Banana Pancakes, Fruit Pancakes, or a warm Belgian Waffle topped with stra wberries and banana ($6.95 – $9.95).

So many possibilities! Head over to Deli Lane for the ultimate comfort food.

  1. I love this restaurant! The only thing better than the food is the service!
